There are several tips and tricks to increase the number of customer responses:
-
Tell customers that you are collecting feedback.
For example, during onboarding, in a newsletter, at the counter, on screens or via your social media. Make it clear that you regularly send short questions to hear what customers think. -
Briefly explain why you are asking for feedback.
Customers are more likely to respond if they know what you do with it. For example:
‘We use your feedback to improve our communication.’ -
Show that you act on the results.
Share updates, for example. This builds trust and motivates customers to participate again next time. -
Involve your team.
Employees can briefly inform customers about the survey:
‘You will soon receive an email with three short questions. We would appreciate it if you let us know what you think.’
In short: make it visible that you ask for feedback, explain why and show what you do with it. This makes customers more engaged and active.
